Partnership deal promises to improve junior golf competition in Alabama
(Jacksonville, FL) –The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour is excited to announce a formal partnership with the Alabama Junior Golf Association that will promote high quality tournament competition in Alabama on a national level. This partnership will benefit both parties tremendously as well as offering junior golfers throughout Alabama a great opportunity to play exclusive events on one of the southeast’s premier tours.
Through this partnership members of the AJGO will receive an HJGT membership that is included in their membership costs. The HJGT and AJGO will work together to promote the events in order to maximize the competitiveness of each event’s field. The AJGO is excited about this new opportunity. The AJGO’s tournament director, Bryant Fortin states, “We’re so excited about this partnership to bring better competitive golf to Alabama, and being able to work with a first class organization like the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour will be a great, rewarding experience.”
This HJGT has produced over 2,500 collegiate golfers who have signed letters of intent at over 200 universities and plays a vital role in promoting junior golf throughout the country. Playing on the nationally accredited tour will give all juniors an opportunity to gain nationwide exposure through multiple ranking systems including the National Junior Golf Scoreboard (NJGS), the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA), and the Golfweek/Titleist Performance Index, among others.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, and Ohio.
